In global environmental policy studies, FECO provides supports to both the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) and its own operations on global issues. In particular, FECO organizes the research and analysis, drafts reports, and compiles papers on status and development of MEAs and other international environmental events.

Preliminary Research on Environmental Planning for Implementation of MEAs under the 12th FYP of Environment Protection in China

The study was conducted under the request of MEP in 2009. In accordance with the overall framework and requirements of the 12th Five-Year-Plan (FYP) for Environmental Protection, the study focused on challenges, targets, tasks, approaches and mechanisms of the Vienna Convention, Montreal Protocol, Stockholm Convention and Convention on Biodiversity. Thte study covered also the Rotterdam Convention and the Basel Convention, as well as the forthcoming Convention on Mercury. The study provided basis for the formulation of the 12th FYP.
