1. The BRI International Green Development Coalition
We deepen the coalition partnership mechanism, reach consensus on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) green development, and jointly promote the greening process of BRI through policy research, green development and demonstration programme, exchange and discussion, capacity building, etc.
2. BRI Environmental Big Data Platform
Based on the construction of platform with core data resources, we actively promote joint contribution and sharing mechanisms, improve the comprehensive decision support and public opinion analysis function of “one map”, carry out green trade and investment consulting services, and drive the construction of the platform’s operation center in a positive manner.
3. Supporting Platform for Implementation of International Environmental Conventions
With the implementation of international environmental conventions as the starting point, we build a long-term mechanism, participate in global environmental governance, join in the formulation of international environmental governance rules, and promote the improvement of global environmental governance system and international order.
4. China Council for international Cooperation on Environment and Development
Relying on the high-level think tank of the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED), we conduct research on major issues of global ecological environment and development and assist in the construction of an ecological civilization in China. Taking the BRI International Green Development Coalition as a platform, we share new ideas, practices and achievements in ecological environment and development.
5. Platform for Regional and South-South Cooperation on Environment
We deepen environmental cooperation with ASEAN countries, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and its member states, actively promote cooperation with countries along the Lancang-Mekong River, strengthen cooperation with Northeast Asia and BRICS, participate in South-South cooperation, develop cooperation with Africa, the Arab region and South Asia, and carry out regional cooperation in marine environmental protection.
6. Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation and Exchange Platform
Centering on multilateral and bilateral international cooperation and exchange on environment under the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, we carry out bilateral environmental cooperation with all countries in the world as a whole, as well as multilateral dialogues, exchanges and cooperation on environmental protection policies with international organizations and institutions such as the United Nations Environment Programme, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.
7. International Environmental Policy Research Base
We conduct in-depth research in the fields of global ecological and environmental policies, multilateral and bilateral cooperation strategies and policies, research on the policy of BRI international cooperation in ecological and environmental protection, cross-border environmental issues, environment and trade, research on foreign-related ecological environment risk prevention, etc. to provide systematic, forward-looking and strategic technical support for environmental protection and international cooperation.
8. International Exchange Base of Environmental Technology
We strive to meet the technical needs of the BRI participating countries and domestic pollution prevention projects, build an online international big data platform for technical service and set up an international exchange base covering BRI and domestic technical service networks, promote international exchange and cooperation of environmental technology and industry.
