Summary:
This project will introduce the market-based mechanism - Payments for Ecosystem Services (PES) to calculate the cost of environmental impact. The expected outcome includes: studies on the latest PES mechanism, including case studies; the expected impacts and difficulties of implementing the mechanism for providing related recommendations; draft guidelines for establishing PES mechanism and recommendations for reforming related financial systems, regulations and laws.
