Summary:
To address the priorities of environmental protection in China, such as pollution reduction, total amount control and establishment of emission trading system, this project will assist to develop the SO2 trading platform by establishing an emission tracking system (ETS) and an allowance tracking system (ATS). It also includes the development of operational manuals for the SO2 trading platform and recommendations on making standards for monitoring, checking and reporting SO2 emission. The latter part of the project includes a capacity building component and training programs will be organized.
