On March 30-31, 2011, a workshop on CCICED project “Special Policy Study (SPS) on Mercury Management in China” was held in Environmental Conventions Building in Beijing. Over 20 experts at home and abroad attended this meeting. Dr. Fang Li, CCICED Assistant Secretary General and Deputy Director-general of FECO, and Dr. Barry Stemshorn，the co-chair of the SPS project, presented welcome speech.
At this meeting, the implementation plan of this project was further optimized and the workload assignment, roadmap and the framework of the final report were further clarified. Experts at home and abroad also introduced their latest work progress on this project. The meeting symbolized the start of overall study work on mercury management in China and laid a solid basis for the project progress.（translated by Li Yufeng）
