The Appliance World Expo (AWE) was held in Shanghai on 18th -21st March, 2014, during which the Green, Low-carbon Air Conditioner Exhibition jointly hosted by FECO and CHEAA was opened at the Environment and Health hall.

RAC enterprises in China have been positively participating in the HCFC-22 phase-out activities and selected R290 as the major alternative. R290 air conditioners and compressors exhibited by Gree, Media, Chunlan, GMCC, Highly and Linda are all energy efficient. The exhibition was the culmination of many years’ work on alternative refrigerants, a joint effort between the Chinese government, CHEAA, and companies within the industry.

Mr. Chen Liang, the Acting Director General of FECO/MEP attend the opening ceremony of AWE and visited the Eco-friendly air conditioning exhibition.

Mr. Chen Liang also delivered a speech at the first China environment & Health Household Electrical Appliance Summit jointly organized by CHEAA and CCTV on March 19 to encourage household appliance enterprises to take more effort to develop household electrical appliances which are environmentally friendly, low-carbon, energy efficient and healthy
