On 13 January 2026, Director General Li Yonghong of the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center (FECO), Ministry of Ecology and Environment, met in Beijing with Secretary-General Xing Lei of the World Green Design Organization (WGDO). The two sides exchanged views on green product design, capacity building, and future cooperation.

Director General Li outlined FECO’s work in supporting international environmental conventions, promoting global cooperation, and advancing policy research. Secretary-General Xing introduced WGDO’s efforts in promoting green design concepts, developing international standards, strengthening talent and capacity building, and facilitating global dialogue.

Both sides agreed that green product design is essential for advancing the circular economy and reducing pollution at the source. They expressed readiness to explore further cooperation and jointly contribute to global sustainable development.
